Happiness

Until someone convinces me otherwise, happiness is what it’s all about as far as I’m concerned. Understanding how we can become happier is of course, not so simple. I think it comes down to two things; our health and our relationships.

Health covers both physical and mental health and can be impacted significantly by the strength or otherwise, of our relationships. Relationships is a reasonably broad term covering the relationship we have with ourselves, the relationships we have with others and the relationship we have with the future. This last bit is the bit I’m still exploring but as it stands it’s about the relationship we have with the people we may or may not meet in the future, our great grandchildren for example. If we value that relationship then we might want to do things now that will improve those relationships. Looking after the planet might be a good example but so could not repeating the more damaging behaviours of our parents.
